IDEA Donna was rated as the 30th best school in the country, out of more than 19,400 evaluated, and the fifth best in the state with regard to overall student achievement. The survey determined that 95.9 percent of IDEA’s students were ready for college by the time they left.
U.S. News& World Report announced today that IDEA College Prep Donna, IDEA Frontier College Prep, and IDEA Quest College Prep, part of the IDEA Public Schools’ growing network of tuition-free K-12 public charter schools, ranked in the top 1% of all public high schools in the nation.
Three IDEA Public Schools students have been named recipients of the 2014 Dell Scholars Program, an initiative of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation that recognizes 300 students annually nationally who have overcome significant obstacles to pursue their education. Only eleven award recipients are from the Rio Grande Valley.
