IDEA Public Schools Celebrates 12 Years of Existence, Achievements in Brownsville



BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (September 25, 2018) – IDEA Public Schools will celebrate 12 years of educational excellence in Brownsville and honor the contributions and achievements of  senior leadership, founding students, teachers, and community leaders at a luncheon on Thursday, September 27###sup/sup###. IDEA schools in Brownsville are top performing campuses, receiving state and national recognition.

This academic year, IDEA’s Lower Rio Grande Valley region is serving 11,000 students and 22,000 parents and employs 1,100 people. IDEA recently celebrated the opening of a new campus in Elsa while simultaneously breaking ground on a new campus located at the corner of FM 802 and Robindale slated to open next fall. This was also the Lower Valley’s 8th consecutive year of 100% of all graduating students being accepted to college.

At the luncheon, attendees will hear from founding principals and students, learn more about the impact IDEA Public Schools has had in the Brownsville community, and hear about the amazing accomplishments of students in Brownsville.
