Here’s what’s happening at IDEA

IDEA Public Schools Holds Graduation Ceremonies for the Class of 2017

The IDEA Donna Class of 2017 celebrates their accomplishments in front of families, friends, and staff. 

Congratulations to IDEA’s Class of 2017! This past weekend, seniors from across the Rio Grande Valley attended graduation to commemorate their academic career with friends, family, IDEA staff, and members of the community.  There was much to celebrate, as the 674 seniors making up the IDEA class of 2017 accomplished many incredible feats.  Here is a snapshot of their accomplishments:

·         100% college acceptance for the eleventh straight year

·         3,439 Acceptances to 323 universities across the country

·         More than $20,000,000 in grants and scholarships

·         548 Acceptances to selective and HIGHLY selective colleges

·         9 Dell Scholars

·         101 AP Scholars

·         More than 300 AP tests passed

·         470 First-Generation students

·         9 Ivy League Acceptances

·         An athletic state champion

·         A presidential scholar


IDEA College Preparatory Pharr Principal, Claudia Ash, reads Oh, The Places You’ll Go to the IDEA Pharr’s first graduating class.  Go Lions! 

The events were a special time to reflect upon stellar academic careers and accomplishments, thus far, and a time to celebrate the journeys the Class of 2017 will begin on college campuses this fall.  Congratulations to all 9 IDEA campuses that graduated seniors:
