IDEA Public Schools Formally Partners with Premier Universities Nationwide

Seniors reveal their university of choice at IDEA's annual College Signing Day.

IDEA Public Schools is proud of the legacy it has built for its scholars—100% college acceptance for ten years and counting.  Alongside passionate, dedicated educators and bright, hard-working students, our Team & Family is leading by example as we empower children in low-income communities nationwide to strive for a college degree—the most important factor to combat inequality in America.

Beyond our teachers and students, IDEA’s College Success Team is an integral component of our mission of College For All.  Tarah Burris, IDEA’s Director of College Partnerships, works year-round to foster formal partnerships with top-tier colleges across the country.

“I cherish my role at IDEA Public Schools,” said Tarah.  “I’m proud to be the connector between our amazing students and quality universities.”

IDEA has recently formed official partnerships with Beloit College, St. Mary’s University, Austin College, and The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, with plans for more college partnerships in the coming months.  These formal partnerships, signed by members of both IDEA Public Schools and the participating institution, identify a point-person at each university to support the recruitment and matriculation efforts of IDEA students.  These partnerships are also essential in providing resources and guidance to aid with financial aid for students, keeping IDEA students informed about special programs and fellowships, and permissible data sharing.
