IDEA Extends Online Learning Fun Over Spring Break

Attention parents! IDEA Public Schools will be closed for Spring Break from March 12 through March 16.  This week is a great opportunity for your scholar to soak up the sun and catch up on some reading.  Once your child finishes a book, remind him or her to test on it online via the Accelerated Reader software!

Just in case you need a little help figuring out what books your scholar should read, here are our picks for this break!

LOWER ACADEMY (Grades K-2)

I Am Malala: Young Readers Edition

By Malala Yousafzai

I Am Malala is the remarkable tale of a family uprooted by global terrorism, of the fight for girls' education, and of brave parents who have a fierce love for their daughter in a society that prizes sons.”

All students are encouraged to spend time reading books at their “just right” level, taking AR quizzes, and logging into their iLearning Hotspot software to practice math skills over the break.  Don’t forget to maintain your accuracy in the software!
