Accelerated Reader & Hotspot Software Available for IDEA Students During Thanksgiving Break

On behalf of everyone here at IDEA Public Schools, we want to wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!

IDEA wants to remind families and students that while you’re relaxing and spending time with loved ones during Thanksgiving Break, Accelerated Reader (AR) and Hotspot software will be available from November 18-27 to use at home.  IDEA students are encouraged to spend time reading books at their “just right” level, take AR quizzes, and log into their HotSpot software over the break.

Principals at IDEA campuses across the district are challenging students to spend time reading and practicing math over the holiday break.  Many campus leaders are offering incentives for dedicated readers and mathematicians.

What better way to spend an afternoon, than curling up at home reading a book, testing your knowledge, and boosting your word count?  When you have some downtime, you can also keep your math skills sharp by logging onto your HotSpot software. This will ensure students return from break ready to learn on November 28.

Be sure to check with your campus for specific details on holiday challenges and prizes, and don’t forget to maintain your accuracy in the software.

Have a relaxing holiday full of reading and math fun!
