    We want to give a warm welcome to our new Carver College Prep families and a special welcome back to our returning families. Join us this Saturday, Aug. 1st from 8 am- 1 pm. We will have food, drinks and activities for the whole family! The San Antonio Public Library Caravan will be making a stop at Carver so don't miss it!

    Summer reading in Humanities creates a common culture and shared experience among students and gives them a framework for upcoming course content.

    6th Grade- Three Wishes: Palestinian and Israeli Children Speak by Deborah Ellis

    7th Grade- The Bugles are Silent by John Knaggs.

    8th Grade- Blood on the River: Jamestown, 1607 by Elisa Carbone

    9th Grade- Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal by Eric Schlosser



    These classic and modern texts are riveting, emotionally charged, and unforgettable.  The summer months will never be the same again!
